For A Less Tired
A More Rejuvenated Look
Every year thousands of people choose to undergo Blepharoplasty or an eyelid correction surgery. The popularity of Blepharoplasty among other cosmetic surgeries are growing in demand because of the relatively small procedure that it involves for a dramatic result. An eyelid correction surgery can not only make you look younger, less tired and boost your self-confidence but it also takes care of drooping or swollen eyelids, a common problem faced by men and women after crossing the mark of forty years of age.
The only thing you have to ensure if you’re planning to undergo Blepharoplasty is that your plastic surgeon possess considerable skill and experience required for this operation.
In scenario one, with age, the skin of the eyelid starts to droop and the reason behind it is decreasing of the fatty tissues underlying the skin, making the skin look excessive and hence droop. In scenario two, there is a surplus of fatty tissues and thus a swollen eyelid. In both these cases, an eyelid correction offers a solution through a moderate procedure whereby a small strip of skin or tissue will be removed from the upper eyelid. As a result, there will be a more open look in the eyes, removing the weary feeling and diminish the pressure on the eyes.
Ptosis or drooping of the eyelid, resulting in a sleepy look is caused by a long eyelid muscle. To correct this common condition, the eyelid muscle is shortened.
The procedure only takes about 30 minutes and local anaesthesia can be applied except for Ptosis and the procedure is almost painless. Typically the recovery period is 5-7 days and the patient can go home on the same day of the surgery.
